Pelicans On A Beach
How about this one? Would National Geographic be interested or is it just another "pelicans on a beach" shot that's been done before?

I have to agree with Craig here. Nice picture, but the pelicans need to be a bit bigger. I'd also try it as a horizontal crop, rather than a vertical one, or maybe even a 5x4 crop. The top 1/2 of the clouds don't have much interest in them.
Otherwise, good lines and great colours. I especially like the seagull standing in front of the pelicans, but pointing the opposite way.
When you say 4x5 crop, do you mean vertical or horizontal? This is a 4x5 vertical. However I don't like that format for horizontal shots. I think 16x9 is better.

The bad: The only thing I can think of is to have the pelicans a bit larger on the frame, so they are a little more prominent.
